WATERCOLOR SKETCHING: From foundations to your own voice | autumn 2024 online

350,00

7-week (September – October 2024) online sketching course with weekly live lessons and our personal feedback.

You are in the middle of your day. Just ended one task and have a short break till the next one. You make a tea, grab a snack, your sketchbook, and paints. This is your happy place. Your portal to feeling alive. A moment when you slow down, and breathe in and out.  These can be 10 minutes or half an hour or more. They are spent enjoying life, creating pieces of memories, connecting to yourself and listening to your inner voice. This is not a dream, this is a reality. And we are here to show you all the steps and elements to find your own style, your own voice.

This is the course that combines the foundations of watercolor sketching such as color theory, perspective, composition, storytelling with tips and exercises that will show you how to break or emphasize these rules in order to find your own voice and tell your unique story. We will provide you with building blocks that will help you to construct your own artistic style. Course is suitable both for those who are just beginning their watercolor journey, as well as for more experienced sketchers who want to repeat and structure the basic knowledge and work on their style.

The course starts on 16 September 2024 with weekly Zoom calls organised every Monday until 4 November 2024 (we might take a break for school holidays, if needed). Timing – 19.00 Brussels/Copenhagen (CEST) time (check your time here: https://www.timeanddate.com) . All Zoom calls will be recorded.

Online course consists of lessons from us – sketchers and illustrators Agnese Aljena and Masha Zurikova. The idea behind STUDIO by deepdeeplight is to create a happy place to discover drawing as a lifestyle and a space of interplay and sharing. You are welcome to join and enjoy together by embracing your existing skills and learning something new.  The course includes several assignments. Everyone enrolled in the course will have to post their assignment into the closed community group (link will be provided via e-mail). The group will be used to create the space for questions and support from fellow learners.
